About the role
- Serve as a recognized technical authority in advanced manufacturing, automation, and repair technologies.
- Establish standard manufacturing practices and technical roadmaps aligned with Barnes Aerospace engineering and operational goals.
- Lead NPI, DFM, and industrialization activities to ensure robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Drive process optimization using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and data-driven problem-solving methods.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or advanced manufacturing within regulated industries (aerospace preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with automation, robotics, and process design, optimization and implementation in a production environment
- Experience supporting multi-site or global manufacturing operations
- Expected travel 50% or more
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline)
