About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert guidance to product teams and leadership on new product approvals
  • Ensure economic crime risk assessments and controls are embedded across Business Banking products
  • Review and challenge product proposals
  • Oversee completion of governance artefacts and documentation
  • Ensure robust control frameworks identify, mitigate, and monitor financial crime risks throughout the product lifecycle
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to provide oversight and assurance
  • Ensure products are launched and managed in line with regulatory requirements, risk factors, and business objectives
  • Advise and influence decision making and contribute to policy development
  • Lead complex assignments and guide team members
  • Consult on complex issues and support resolution of escalated issues
  • Identify risk mitigations and develop policies and procedures supporting control and governance
  • Manage risk and strengthen controls
  • Analyse data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Communicate complex information and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Considerable product management experience across the product lifecycle
  • Ability to provide expert advice and challenge on Business Banking products
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse cross-functional teams and senior leadership groups
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK financial crime legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of Economic Crime and risk management
  • First-line Economic Crime experience valued
  • Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risks across business operations and products valued
  • Proven experience within the Financial Services sector valued
  • Understanding of Business Banking products, customers, and associated risk frameworks valued
  • Exceptional influencing and execution capabilities
  • Experience driving outcomes and delivering strategic projects across complex cross-functional environments valued
  • Skills in risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job-specific technical areas may be assessed
