Patient Engagement Pharmacy Technician I

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for prescription order entry, insurance processing, and patient outreach
- Work in a large volume centralized specialty and mail order pharmacy call center setting under pharmacist supervision
- Engage in personal development to stay updated with pharmacy trends
- Perform all tasks associated with prescription order entry and adjudication for centralized specialty and home delivery prescriptions
- Navigate dispensing software to process prescriptions efficiently and coordinate delivery
- Resolve insurance issues and communicate delays to patients
- Synchronize patient medication refills
- Serve as primary contact with patients regarding medication fulfillment needs
- Collaborate with the central pharmacy dispensing team to coordinate services and fulfill prescriptions
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed at the end of shift
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- If not already registered, Pharmacy Technician registration must be completed with KY Board of Pharmacy by date of hire (no testing is required; only a completed application and fee)
- Previous retail, mail order, central/call center pharmacy work experience highly preferred.
