About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for CDI query reconciliation accuracy
- Compiling and generating key performance metrics for entities such as physicians, providers, CDI team and facility leadership after review with CDI Leadership
- Participate on multi-disciplinary enterprise quality and process improvement teams
- Collaborate with CDI Auditor/Educators to develop and implement programs for ongoing CDI, physicians, providers, and ancillary departmental education
- Evaluate opportunities for new CDI initiatives via ongoing metric analysis including validating workflows, tracking, and trending of results
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years acute healthcare nursing experience including two years clinical documentation integrity experience
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree, associate degree in nursing with five years acute healthcare experience including two years clinical documentation integrity experience
- Knowledge of ICD10-CM coding principles and procedures
- DRG assignment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Data entry and data retrieval systems
- Encoder and internet preferred
- Valid Kentucky or Indiana Licensure as a Registered Nurse
- CCDS and/or CDIP
- Member of ACDIS or AHIMA
