About the role
- Research denials and/or suspected payment variances from payors.
- Analyze Negotiated Payor Contract Terms.
- Perform recovery efforts on reimbursement discrepancies.
- Develop strategies to improve reimbursement based on trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with five years healthcare experience, two years in revenue cycle related area.
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree, eight years of healthcare experience required including five years in revenue cycle related areas.
- Requires knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of payor reimbursement guidelines and denial appeal processes.
- Understanding of all audit response requirements and timelines.
