About the role
- Responsible for application and integration of information technology in the healthcare setting
- Serve as a liaison between the IT department and operations to align system design with operational processes
- Data collection, workflow analysis, system configuration, testing, and support
- Participate in application deployment and procedure documentation
- Ensure that the software build meets organizational goals and external mandates such as HIPAA and Meaningful Use
- May have duties instructing, directing and checking the work of other Application Analysts, personnel, and project team members
- Acts as project leader for projects with moderate to large budgets or system-wide implications, multiple projects of a short to long-term duration, and medium to large projects.
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy/Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and Pharmacist License (KY or IN) required
- Recent/relevant technical experience in medication management integrated with an EHR preferred
- Appropriate certifications or licensures required within 6 months of hire.
