About the role

  • Establish best practices and share insights through a centralized Payments Council and monetization playbook.
  • Lead the development and execution of the end-to-end payments strategy across the portfolio.
  • Identify and capture new revenue streams through interchange optimization, embedded finance, and other yield levers.
  • Build and manage relationships with PSPs, acquirers, and fintech partners to secure strategic and commercial advantages.
  • Guide portfolio executives on go-to-market design, pricing, and migration frameworks (referral → ISO → PayFac).
  • Evaluate payment infrastructure and economics in M&A opportunities and design post-close integration plans.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, finance, and legal teams to ensure scalable, compliant implementations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in payments, fintech, or embedded finance (preferably within B2B or vertical SaaS)
  • Deep understanding of payment infrastructure, economics, and integration models.
  • Proven success driving revenue growth or cost optimization through payments strategy.
  • Strong negotiation and partner management skills with North American providers.
  • Exceptional communication, analytical, and executive-influencing abilities.
  • Experience operating across decentralized or multi-entity organizations preferred.
