About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and execution of IT vendor management strategies to maximize ROI and operational efficiency
Manage IT vendor management process enhancement and redesign efforts
Review, analyze, and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes
Manage IT vendor relationships and oversee vendor performance evaluations
Negotiate high-value IT contracts and ensure favorable organizational outcomes
Develop metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms for executive-level presentations and decision-making
Assist with, develop, and implement IT vendor management policies and best practices
Collaborate with finance and legal teams on budgets, total cost of ownership, and compliance risks
Mentor junior team members and provide guidance and training
Train and coach customers on managing IT vendor relationships and contracts
Partner with internal stakeholders to align vendor performance with organizational objectives
Communicate with leaders at all levels of the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need

Extensive experience in contract negotiation, vendor performance evaluation, and cost-saving initiatives
Bachelor’s degree in business, health administration, procurement, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
4 years of progressive experience in IT vendor management, strategic sourcing, or procurement operations
Ability to lead and manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
Strong analytical, financial, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and strategic-planning skills
Experience with ROI and total cost of ownership analysis
Proficiency in vendor management systems and advanced reporting tools
Vendor management experience in a healthcare setting highly desirable
Experience in a large or highly matrixed organization highly desirable
Additional related education and/or experience preferred
