About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform prescribed radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Use independent judgment and learned methodologies during radiographic procedures
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, risks, and prevention
  • Demonstrate professional behavior, teamwork, efficient resource use, and quality patient outcomes
  • Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation
  • Perform prescribed invasive/interventional procedures when applicable
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality-control measurements
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and notify appropriate personnel to maintain performance
  • Maintain a safe environment and adhere to safety policies
  • Maintain confidentiality and fulfill ethical, legal, and professional radiology responsibilities
  • Support efficient department workflow and perform other assigned duties
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and materials
  • Serve internal medical imaging, nursing, medical staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare customers, as well as patients, families, regulatory, and health agencies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program
  • National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required
  • Licensure by the state regulatory agency if applicable
  • BLS certification required
  • Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience
  • Effective communication and human relations skills
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems
  • Employees working at Banner Scottsdale Sports Medicine, second floor must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain it for the duration of employment
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
