About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct remote and onsite audits of contracted Behavioral Health Agencies, including medical record reviews, policy and procedure assessments, and regulatory compliance verification
- Coordinate audit scheduling and maintain communication with agencies using virtual tools
- Provide real-time feedback and technical assistance to agencies to improve compliance and documentation practices
- Compile audit reports with findings, corrective actions, and quality improvement recommendations
- Navigate Electronic Health Record systems to review and assess clinical documentation
- Implement and monitor program providers against regulatory and statutory requirements
- Define quality requirements and develop audit tools based on the ACC Contract
- Coordinate and educate providers on quality guidelines and performance measures
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions following provider audits
- Track and trend medical record review results and create audit finding reports
- Provide technical assistance and training in continuous quality improvement methodologies and tools
- Close out audit findings and ensure timely resolution of investigations and corrective actions
- Suggest improvements to services, processes, or products
- Solve complex problems and determine how and when to achieve results
- Interpret customer needs and identify solutions to non-standard requests
- Work with department and cross-department peers, supervisors, customers, managers, patients, and physicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working knowledge in Behavioral Health-related fields
- Two to four years of relevant experience in quality management, process improvement, project leadership, organization/time management, data collection/analysis, client relations, program development, process streamlining, project evaluation, budget management, training, and development
- Arizona residency required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Comfort navigating various Electronic Health Record systems
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to meet daily and weekly productivity metrics
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen, and background check required
- AZ Board of Behavioral Health Licensing and/or CPHQ preferred
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
