About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develops, implements, maintains, and enforces complex and/or multiple aspects of Banner Health’s Corporate Compliance Program
Promotes compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and HIPAA requirements
Serves as a strategic leader and subject matter expert
Develops, implements, and coordinates with internal stakeholders
Designs and conducts routine and ad hoc auditing and monitoring activities
Creates and monitors ethical and compliance standards expected of employees
Identifies need to create and execute training and education programs
Provides regular reports to leadership and compliance committees
Investigates and responds to compliance concerns, questions, and complaints
Maintains awareness of applicable laws, regulations, and enforcement actions
Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of staff

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in healthcare or other relevant field
Seven years of experience in healthcare compliance or operations
Minimum of three years management level experience within a healthcare system setting or large multi-operational, complex corporate environment
Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to healthcare, regulatory compliance, Medicare/Medicaid, and HIPAA
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with executives, management teams, physicians, and regulatory agencies
Excellent problem-solving and planning skills
Proficiency with computers and relevant applications
