About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently performs echocardiograms on pediatric and adult patients with complex congenital heart disease
- Records, interrogates, quantifies, and measures presence of normal and abnormal anatomy or physiology
- Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with patient information for timely interpretation
- Performs procedures following referring providers’ orders
- Participates in ongoing quality improvement processes
- Mentors or precepts other sonographers, students, or trainees
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required national certification from ARDMS or CCI
- Preferred certifications from RVT for Vascular, RCS for echo
- 3 years of pediatric echocardiography experience or equivalent combining adult/pediatric echo center
- BLS certification required
- Pediatric certification is required
- Effective communication skills and human relations skills
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems
