About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides academic instruction to elementary, middle school and/or high school students
Develops lesson plans and curriculum unless provided by the school
Manages education plans and provides ongoing support
Provides case management for students including coordination of transition services as needed
Maintains a safe, clean and structured learning environment
May plan and provide instruction for non-academic classes including off-campus outings

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Necessary certification from the Arizona Department of Education
Certification in English, Social Studies, Science, Math or Special Education (if in a non-clinical setting)
Certified by the state to teach at the middle and high school levels
Substitute Teaching certificate for grades K-12 will be considered
Requires 1-2 years of experience in related setting
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
Requires creative thinking, prioritizing and flexible problem solving
May be required to possess a valid driver’s license
Employees must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire
