About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides academic instruction to elementary, middle school and/or high school students
- Develops lesson plans and curriculum unless provided by the school
- Manages education plans and provides ongoing support
- Provides case management for students including coordination of transition services as needed
- Maintains a safe, clean and structured learning environment
- May plan and provide instruction for non-academic classes including off-campus outings
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
- Necessary certification from the Arizona Department of Education
- Certification in English, Social Studies, Science, Math or Special Education (if in a non-clinical setting)
- Certified by the state to teach at the middle and high school levels
- Substitute Teaching certificate for grades K-12 will be considered
- Requires 1-2 years of experience in related setting
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires creative thinking, prioritizing and flexible problem solving
- May be required to possess a valid driver’s license
- Employees must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire
