About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a trusted resource for Medicaid applicants by assisting individuals with completing and submitting applications through the Health-e-Arizona Plus (HEAplus) system
  • Guide applicants through eligibility requirements, required documentation, renewals, and benefit-related questions
  • Build positive relationships with applicants and community members by providing excellent customer service and education regarding available programs and resources
  • Conduct outbound calls to promote and support community outreach efforts, including scheduling appointments, event participation, and follow-up activities
  • Represent the organization at both virtual and in-person community events, engaging directly with attendees and providing information on available services
  • Complete administrative and tracking activities to support outreach initiatives, application assistance efforts, and departmental goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of two years of experience in community relations, marketing, customer service, event support or health care related field
  • Must have ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance and clean driving record
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication, as well as listening skills
  • Must possess basic computer skills, including familiarity with office suite
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and make sound decisions following established department policies, procedures and standards
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Must possess the ability to work cohesively in a team environment
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
