About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs and symptoms.
  • Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
  • Coordinates and manages patient care including referrals and scheduling.
  • Provides clerical support with patient documentation including medical records.
  • Maintains a clean, functional environment and disinfects equipment.
  • Orders supplies and stocks patient care areas.
  • Develops and maintains effective communication mechanisms with all customers.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
  • Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) with proof of current membership.
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
  • Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for specific behavioral health settings.
