About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepares patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs and symptoms.
- Assists providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
- Coordinates and manages patient care including referrals and scheduling.
- Provides clerical support with patient documentation including medical records.
- Maintains a clean, functional environment and disinfects equipment.
- Orders supplies and stocks patient care areas.
- Develops and maintains effective communication mechanisms with all customers.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations.
- Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
- BLS certification required.
- Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA) with proof of current membership.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple changing priorities in an effective and organized fashion.
- Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card for specific behavioral health settings.
