About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assisting clinicians and nursing staff in providing medical care
- Preparing patients for exams and treatments by taking and recording vital signs
- Assisting providers with exams and minor in-office procedures
- Coordinating and managing patient care including pre-certifications and scheduling
- Providing clerical support with patient/client notifications and documentation
- Maintaining a clean, functional environment, including cleaning and disinfection
- Orders supplies as directed and stocks patient care areas
- Completing all necessary onboarding/orientation activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Completion of an approved medical assistant training program as defined by state regulations
- Active Medical Assistant Certification is required
- BLS certification required
- Requires strong computer skills, including the ability to work with medical software
- Requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Employees working in a Behavioral Health clinical setting must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
