About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Running insurance eligibility and benefits to determine amounts due
- Collecting payments and checking patients in and out
- Scheduling appointments
- Providing registration of patient and insurance information
- Verifying insurance coverage and validating referrals and authorizations
- Calculating and collecting patient liability
- Entering payments/charges for services rendered and performing daily reconciliation
- Scheduling office visits and procedures
- Demonstrating proactive interpersonal communication skills
- Assisting in responding to requests for patient medical records
- Escorting patients, taking vitals, and assisting in patient treatment
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Experience in patient financial services, financial collecting services, or insurance industry processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
- Previous cash collections experience (preferred)
- Work experience with the Company’s systems and processes (preferred)
