Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the strategic vision and technical roadmap for AI initiatives across Banner Health's enterprise
Collaborate with technology executives and clinical leaders to identify transformative AI opportunities
Design scalable architecture frameworks that balance innovation with security and compliance
Mentor cross-functional teams on AI best practices
Evaluate emerging technologies like generative AI and machine learning models
Establish governance frameworks for responsible AI deployment
Translate complex technical concepts into compelling business cases

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of enterprise architecture experience
3-5 years of hands-on AI/ML implementation
Strong healthcare industry knowledge (HIPAA compliance preferred)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
Must obtain one or more of the following certifications within one year of hire: Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF Certified Architect, or ITIL Intermediate
Proven experience in cloud-based healthcare solutions, including AI/ML deployments
Strong understanding of healthcare compliance, interoperability, and security
