About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Check in and out patients and schedule patients
Conduct registration, point of service collections, and obtain authorizations
Collect payments and meet regular collection targets
Demonstrate the ability to collect payments and resolve customer issues
Provides financial counseling to patients
Communicate with physicians and clinical staff to resolve outstanding issues
Work independently under regular supervision in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
Knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience processes normally acquired over one or more years of work experience
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences
Strong knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
