About the role
- Evaluate medical records and provide clinical and surgical abstraction for complex procedures
- Accurately code diagnostic and procedural information in accordance with guidelines
- Collaborate with medical providers for clarifying record information
- Provide quality assurance for medical records compliance
- Compile reports and tabulate data as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of Surgical Cardiology Profee EM coding experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) in active status
- Must be currently certified through AAPC or Ahima
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting
- Must demonstrate a level of knowledge and understanding of ICD and CPT coding principles
