About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Generate revenue through business development activities with existing clients and new prospects
- Build and manage relationships with large, complex commercial clients, including specialized industry verticals
- Market and develop business opportunities across commercial and industrial lending and targeted industry segments
- Negotiate loan terms and structure credit solutions within authority
- Prepare and present detailed credit analysis and recommendations for borrowing requests
- Conduct credit reviews and monitor portfolio risk for compliance with policies and regulations
- Monitor loan performance and maintain accurate risk ratings
- Represent the bank in the community to build awareness and strengthen relationships
- Mentor and coach less experienced relationship managers and support team development
- Follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science, or a related field (Required)
- An equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
- 6 or more years of experience in commercial credit, analysis, or business development (Required)
- Proven ability to develop and manage large, complex client relationships
- Relationship management, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of local markets and business growth
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including underwriting and structuring commercial credits
- Deep knowledge of cash management products and services
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to commercial lending and appraisal guidelines
- Ability to travel up to 10%
