About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide advice and valuable financial solutions to complex Global Commercial Banking clients and prospects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact or trusted advisor
  • Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales and prospecting
  • Manage an extensive portfolio of complex clients and prospects with annual revenues of $50 million to $2 billion
  • Help companies save, borrow, and invest for current and future needs
  • Understand and interpret financial and cash flow statements to assess companies’ financial conditions and industry trends
  • Collaborate with domestic and international teammates, including Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, and Wealth Management
  • Facilitate relationships with Product Specialists in Credit, Treasury Management, and Merchant Services
  • Design and deliver financial solutions to clients and prospects
  • Lead dialogue with complex clients and prospects about industries, capital structures, and business issues
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and increase client satisfaction
  • Coach and mentor peers
  • Adapt to changes in sales practices and market and industry conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Commercial Lending or Investment Banking
  • Ability to successfully manage an extensive portfolio of clients
  • Proven track record of prospecting new business, enhancing existing relationships, and closing profitable transactions
  • Proven professional sales skills and experience, including planning, execution, and follow-up of client meetings
  • Strong corporate finance, capital markets, and accounting acumen
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Completion of formal credit training
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Ability to organize, facilitate, lead, and negotiate with a team of bank associates to solve client problems
  • Must obtain SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 licenses within 180 days of start date
  • Existing knowledge of the market preferred
  • Active networking contacts and established Centers of Influence in the market preferred
  • Active membership/participation in local community organizations preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience desired; majors in business, finance, or economics preferred; MBA desirable
  • Must comply with FDIC hiring restrictions related to specified criminal history
