About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead team leaders and employees developing strategies and analytics to understand portfolio risk, increase profitability, and optimize operational performance
- Establish department-wide strategies and oversee portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance
- Lead large-scale initiatives improving risk management, profitability, and control oversight
- Identify business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicate findings to senior management
- Coach employees on structuring complex problems, performing analysis, and communicating results and implications
- Build and maintain strategic relationships across product, technology, and business control functions
- Manage targeting strategy and campaign design for SB Card monthly campaigns driving 300k+ annual account bookings
- Own targeting models end-to-end and enhance models using results, trends, and policies to maximize campaign performance and marketing budget use
- Develop campaign strategies including offer and channel details and partner with legal, compliance, UCRA, MDUG, and channel stakeholders to execute campaigns
- Own acquisition performance management, delivering actionable insights, executive reporting, and strategic recommendations
- Monitor account growth, response rates, approval rates, profitability, and campaign ROI to guide investment and targeting decisions
- Lead technology projects related to offer capabilities, including gaming logic and pre-qualification functionality; participate in PI planning, user testing, validation, and rollout
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience and knowledge of acquisition basics of targeting and marketing, with a track record of optimizing campaign performance
- Understanding of marketing channels including direct mail, email, digital, and finance center
- Proficient in SAS/SQL with hands-on experience querying and analyzing large data sets
- Experience working with Quantitative Analytics to inform models and/or targeting tools
- Proven ability to solve complex problems through structured analytics
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and scenario modeling
- Experience developing and executing business strategy and roadmap planning
- Ability to work across functional lines and organizational levels to drive results
- Ability to identify, analyze, and improve existing processes for optimization
- Ability to manage varied planned and ad-hoc priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present complex information and insights clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (desired; Master’s preferred)
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms (desired)
- Experience in Python and modeling (desired)
- Experience in credit card or lending products (desired)
- Understanding of Profit & Loss basics (desired)
- Strategy Performance Management and Decision Strategy Governance (desired)
