About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee a unit or section within the bank’s internal operations
  • Lead a team performing U.S. and non-U.S. tax documentation validation functions
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate globally with GBAM Operations Tax & Control, GBAM Tax Change, GBAM Technology, Global Tax Policy, and Tax Compliance
  • Service tax-related client inquiries and escalations
  • Drive tax initiatives and regulatory implementations with GBAM Tax Change and GBAM Technology
  • Develop and implement procedures to enhance productivity and efficiency and manage business change
  • Resolve broad and complex operational issues as an escalation point
  • Manage expenses, reporting, forecasting, compensation decisions, talent planning, and senior-level performance management
  • Manage a large team or multiple smaller teams across sites, regions, or product lines
  • Support functions carrying substantial risk exposure and potential loss impacting major corporate customer relationships
  • Champion inclusion, process and data management, enterprise communication, risk management, coaching, financial stewardship, talent development, and business outcomes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep understanding of U.S. Treasury regulations, including Chapters 3, 4, and 61
  • Expertise in tax documentation validation rules (CRS, Irish DIRT, W8, W9)
  • Ability to perform complex reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues through structured, analytical approaches
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage people and regulatory deadlines
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of operations support management and expertise in functional areas gained through increasingly responsible management positions in operations
  • Ability to interpret relevant laws, rules, and regulations
