About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support multiple security engineering efforts to deliver enterprise security capabilities
Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more engineering initiatives
Design, develop, and implement systems that protect system boundaries, harden computer systems and network devices, and secure sensitive data
Drive complex technical information security projects and ensure on-time delivery
Identify and raise risks and potential vulnerabilities throughout the security engineering process
Lead identification, definition, and documentation of system security requirements
Coordinate work with diverse stakeholders, negotiating paths forward across varying priorities
Develop and execute test plans producing quantitative results
Solve complex problems by developing and implementing multiple solutions
Report on key metrics
Mentor team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of hands-on experience with BGP design, configuration, and troubleshooting
Prior experience with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) is highly desirable
Experience implementing BGP community-based routing policies is highly desirable
Hands-on experience with NetScout Arbor hardware and related DDoS mitigation technologies
Experience deploying, configuring, tuning, and operationally supporting DDoS mitigation technologies
Experience deploying network security solutions into cloud-based networks such as Akamai and Cloudflare is a plus
Experience with cloud security is a plus
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Web Application Firewalls (WAF) is a plus
Ability to work first shift, 40 hours per week
Skills in access and identity management, cybersecurity, information systems management, risk management, DevOps practices, test engineering, solution design, and solution delivery
