About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Developing capabilities such as models, analytical tools, and testing scripts that provide timely, actionable insight on the operational health of Bank of America’s processes
- Working with process owners to understand data, process flows, and controls, and identify risks to design effective testing and monitoring
- Creating methodologies to evaluate process and control effectiveness and compliance with laws, rules, and policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree or above in fields including but not limited to Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Process and Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Accounting, Business Administration (or equivalent work experience)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering in Quantitative Finance or other industries
- Strong Programming skills (e.g., Python) and solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle principles
- Able to document and verbally explain the intuition and details behind testing methodologies in a manner that is clear, concise, and consumable for a broad set of audiences that include key stakeholders across the Bank, as well as auditors and regulators
- Knowledge of financial services industry and related regulations
- Demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience implementing process improvements and automation
