About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ownership of the software code base for infrastructure automation routines
Definition of coding strategy and ownership of code review routines
Development of world class APIs to enable interaction with other systems
Day to day work allocation and tracking for a team of half a dozen developers
Ensure adherence of the team to a robust release cycle process
Support/mentor/coach for the team on design and best practices for high code performance – e.g. pairing, code reviews.
Interaction with infrastructure engineering team to understand desired outcomes, and ensure that the software that is developed delivers them
Deliver work using an Agile methodology and use Jira for work assignments and tracking
Development of automated regression testing to streamline release cycles

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience leading a coding team
Proficiency in Python scripting
Proficiency in orchestrating workflows using Ansible
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments.
Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows.
