About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, build and implement scalable, repeatable processes that integrate security, governance, and risk management into the AI lifecycle, ensuring consistency and auditability.
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization's AI Governance program, with a focus on cybersecurity and risk management.
- Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks (e.g., model abuse, prompt injection, data leakage, model theft), embedding security and governance into AI development, deployment, and third-party usage.
- Support issue management activities by tracking AI-related risks, findings, and remediation actions.
- Prepare governance reports, metrics, dashboards, and presentations for management and governance committees.
- Participate in internal audits, regulatory examinations, and control assessments related to AI systems and AI governance practices.
- Contribute to the development of AI testing, validation, and monitoring requirements designed to identify security, compliance, and operational concerns.
- Monitors information security trends internal and external to the bank and keeps leadership informed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in Information Security, Technology Risk, Cyber Risk, AI Governance, Data Governance, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of AI/ML concepts, generative AI technologies, AI agents, and associated cybersecurity risks.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, or similar governance frameworks.
- Ability to translate technical AI and cybersecurity concepts into clear business-focused risk communications.
- 5+ years of risk management experience with proven ability to effectively apply risk principles to challenging business situations.
- Exceptional executive presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills.
- Strong leadership skills and qualities which enable you to work with peers and various levels of management.
- Ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently.
- Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
