About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • This job is responsible for driving accurate, complete, and timely delivery of data.
  • Key responsibilities include working with business stakeholders and technology teams to direct data management activities and ensure availability for use by appropriate consumers.
  • Job expectations include managing execution within the enterprise data management standards, data quality, and control practices.
  • Works with Line of Business partners, including Compliance, Audit, and Risk to understand needs and produce data solutions, often times in partnership with Technology.
  • Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans for resolution, including recommendations so that relevant risk and compliance policies and standards are met.
  • Analyzes emerging needs for data to address risk, regulatory, or business enablement priorities and appropriately plans for interim and target state solutions within data management policies.
  • Monitors key performance indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies.
  • Execute counterparty data transformation initiatives focused on improving data integrity, including identifying upstream data quality gaps and implementing preventative measures across the data supply chain.
  • Drive acceleration of data defect resolution through deep root cause analysis, tracing issues to point of origin and influencing partners to remediate and prevent recurrence.
  • Support data sourcing transformation, including migration to centralized single sourcing and alignment to authoritative data providers in accordance with enterprise data strategy.
  • Decompose and analyze business processes and data flows to identify control breakdowns and inefficiencies, and embed sustainable improvements through enhanced controls, monitoring, and automation.
  • Develop and deliver clear, actionable insights and thematic analysis to senior stakeholders, enabling fact-based decision making and supporting governance and control forums.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in data management, data quality, or data governance within complex, multi-source data environments
  • Advanced SQL proficiency with experience working across enterprise-scale databases (e.g., Teradata, Oracle) and analyzing complex data architectures and transformation logic
  • Demonstrated expertise in root cause analysis across data and business processes, with ability to trace defects to point of origin and drive remediation through influence
  • Proven ability to decompose and evaluate business processes, identify control gaps, and execute against transformation initiatives to improve process effectiveness
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and monitoring operational & data controls to ensure data quality and mitigate operational and regulatory risk
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting or operating within highly controlled data environments
  • Strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities (e.g., Tableau, PowerPoint), with ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
