About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • This job is responsible for testing and delivering complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes
  • Ensuring the testing strategy and processes are well-defined and continuously improved
  • Establishing a test and automation strategy
  • Creating common test frameworks
  • Defining and managing test processes including test data generation, defect management and reporting
  • Understanding and implementing internal/external mandate
  • Ensuring compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
  • Managing traceability
  • Leading testing activities across treasury and payment systems
  • Developing and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts across functional, integration, and component testing phases
  • Collaborating with teams for end-to-end (E2E) validation
  • Performing detailed data analysis and validation using complex SQL queries across multiple systems
  • Validating XML/JSON payloads and API integrations
  • Analyzing and testing mappings, workflows, and middleware processes
  • Contributing to automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Cucumber
  • Participating in CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Strong understanding of system design and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks (Cucumber, JUnit, Litmus)
  • Relevant IT experience in Agile environments, preferably within the financial domain
  • Strong experience in Java, web services, and SQL/PLSQL (Oracle)
  • Strong knowledge of XML and JSON within API and microservices implementations at scale
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write complex cross-system queries
  • Experience with UNIX, shell scripting, and regular expressions (RegEx)
  • Strong experience (3+ years) in parsing and generating data/files, banking standards, XML, and XPath
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Eclipse/NetBeans, TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Litmus, Bitbucket (or similar version control tools), and web services testing tools
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, debugging, and triaging skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt, applying prior experience to new challenges.
