About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a Qualys SME within a team of Qualys platform engineers
- Administer, configure, and optimize Qualys VMDR, Cloud Agents, and scanner operations
- Ensure reliable asset coverage, agent health, scan performance, and data quality
- Analyze vulnerability and compliance findings and partner with infrastructure teams
- Contribute to automation and integrations using Qualys APIs and scripting
- Support and enhance ServiceNow integrations for vulnerability intake
- Participate in platform monitoring, incident response, upgrades, change management, and root cause analysis
- Produce and maintain documentation, dashboards, and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of IT security or systems engineering experience
- 3+ years focused on Qualys platform engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Qualys VMDR, Cloud Agent deployment, and Policy Compliance in an enterprise environment
- Solid understanding of the vulnerability management lifecycle
- Strong Windows and Linux/Unix systems knowledge
- Experience with automation, scripting, and Qualys APIs
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-based engineering model while independently owning complex technical deliverables
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
