About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the Operational support of LINUX/UNIX-based messaging systems
  • Primarily responsible for system availability, troubleshooting/triage for production problems
  • Participates in a service monitoring function with responsibilities in areas of incident and problem management
  • Role will contribute to product/service design, development and implementation deliverables
  • Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource; provides technical knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor
  • Typically 5 or more years of Linux systems experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong OS background with Linux systems
  • Strong scripting/development skills with Python, Perl, Shell
  • Experience with SMTP Email relaying and routing
  • Experience with Email Hygiene systems, including Anti-spam, Antivirus, Malware Prevention, and Data Loss Prevention
  • Experience with monitoring technologies (SPLUNK,NAGIOS)
  • Proven experience in problem identification, troubleshooting and resolution
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
