About the role
- As a key member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for deployment, middleware, and environment management across lower-level test environments.
- Collaborate with Technology Infrastructure, Development, and Testing teams to support integrated and independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, and server maintenance.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause resolution for incidents and problems, including escalations from advisory users.
- Partner with subject matter experts to resolve complex issues involving technologies supported by partner teams.
- Monitor environments during releases and independent changes, ensuring accurate tracking of production changes.
- Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, application stability, and root cause analysis speed.
- Debug and troubleshoot performance and software issues across multiple environments.
- Manage changes, defects, and projects across testing and production environments.
- Handle multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.
- Support after-hours and weekend release activities as needed.
- Perform defect triage in application testing environments.
- Deploy code and retrofit production code as required.
- Communicate with clients and consult on infrastructure design.
- Rebuild servers and apply system patches.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Foster strong partnerships and communication with internal customers and partner teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Windows middleware engineering
- Hands-on experience with at least one middleware product (e.g., Appian)
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Strong Java/container framework experience
- Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl
- Experience with release deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket, Celestial)
- Willingness to work after hours and weekends to support release changes
