About the role

  • As a key member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for deployment, middleware, and environment management across lower-level test environments.
  • Collaborate with Technology Infrastructure, Development, and Testing teams to support integrated and independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, and server maintenance.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause resolution for incidents and problems, including escalations from advisory users.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to resolve complex issues involving technologies supported by partner teams.
  • Monitor environments during releases and independent changes, ensuring accurate tracking of production changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve monitoring, application stability, and root cause analysis speed.
  • Debug and troubleshoot performance and software issues across multiple environments.
  • Manage changes, defects, and projects across testing and production environments.
  • Handle multiple tasks/projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while working independently and collaboratively.
  • Support after-hours and weekend release activities as needed.
  • Perform defect triage in application testing environments.
  • Deploy code and retrofit production code as required.
  • Communicate with clients and consult on infrastructure design.
  • Rebuild servers and apply system patches.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Foster strong partnerships and communication with internal customers and partner teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Windows middleware engineering
  • Hands-on experience with at least one middleware product (e.g., Appian)
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems
  • Strong Java/container framework experience
  • Skilled in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl
  • Experience with release deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket, Celestial)
  • Willingness to work after hours and weekends to support release changes
