About the role
- Develop, maintain, and execute short- and long-term volume and staffing forecasts using advanced statistical, time-series, and machine learning models.
- Analyze operational drivers, transaction volumes, and workload trends to inform capacity planning and workforce optimization strategies.
- Partner with business leaders to translate forecasts into actionable staffing plans that align with service level objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously refine forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and incorporate emerging trends, regulatory changes, and economic indicators.
- Lead workforce planning cycles, including quarterly and annual capacity reviews, headcount planning, and budget alignment.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations on forecast results, capacity risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Consolidate and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly workforce performance packages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and forecasting consistency across the organization.
- Ensure workforce planning processes align with financial crimes compliance standards and operational risk frameworks.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years in forecasting, capacity planning, workforce management, or related analytics roles within financial services or risk management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Economics, Data Science, or related STEM field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in statistical modeling, forecasting techniques, and advanced analytics tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
- Strong Excel and data visualization skills; experience with workforce management platforms preferred.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to senior leadership.
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders.
