About the role
- Responsible for moderately complex tax planning and compliance responsibilities
- Preparing tax reports, responding to audits, and inquiries from governmental bodies
- Minimizing tax liabilities or researching tax issues and developing effective tax strategies
- Lead and support sales and use tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
- Provide consulting insights on sales tax matters to internal stakeholders
- Assist with business license registration and renewal processes
- Conduct tax research and interpret laws, rules, and regulations
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
- Collaborate across departments to ensure tax compliance and operational efficiency
- Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Hands-on experience in sales tax consulting and compliance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Experience with business license registration and renewals
- Familiarity with tax research tools and interpreting tax laws
- Prior experience in an accounting firm or similar professional services environment
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting
