About the role
- Executes audit strategy for the sound application of risk-based auditing
- Assists with development of individual audit scope and audit programs
- Leverages automation and innovative methods in a timely and high quality manner
- Identifies control deficiencies and discusses with line management
- Initiates control matter recommendations
- Assesses impacts to business processes, controls and strategies
- Provides recommendations on severity ratings
- Establishes business partner relationships when executing Audit reviews or issue validation work
- Develops skills to use innovative tools to complete audit activities more efficiently
- Exercises sound knowledge of product, business, and technical expertise
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Audit or risk control background preferably in financial services
- Project management skills
- Proven organizational, coordination and action tracking skills
- Experience in performing end-to-end substantive testing
- Understanding of statistical sampling testing approach is a plus
- Ability to plan, execute and evaluate audit test plans within a risk-based audit methodology
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work in a very detailed manner
- Ability to successfully communicate to Audit leaders
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator, both orally and in writing
- Self-starter, desire to learn able to teach others, positive attitude, exhibits flexibility
- Bachelor's degree and/or Advanced degree with relevant experience
