Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit.
Functions managed may include: LOB issues management, business control routines, audit/compliance, coordination of certain projects, associate readiness, process improvement, business continuity, or communication.
May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates.
Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products.
Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices.
May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers.
The Business Support Manager within Global Commercial Banking Credit will lead the development, improvement and execution of processes in support of key objectives.
Ensures full integration of governance routines required by policy through analysis and execution of effective reporting.
Will assist in the development of solutions designed to optimize performance through gap analysis action planning.
Works directly with key partners to understand existing procedure and ensure adherence by responsible employees.
Ensures full integration through effective reporting and scorecard metrics to determine adoption and compliance.
Manages a portfolio of audit issues and control enhancements impacting the organization based on identification via internal (self), Risk, Compliance or Audit channels.
Responsible for monitoring and reporting process performance metrics for assigned processes and/or control routines.
Works closely with managers and executives to evaluate current methods and assists in developing strategies to implement changes and improvements related to production and capacity management.
Requirements
Knowledge of commercial lending and the credit process within Global Banking and Markets
Understanding of bank policies, procedures and systems
Proven experience in decision making, coaching, and partnering is essential
Excellent organization and project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities without sacrificing quality and timeliness
Ability to collaborate with and influence process owners and key partners
Strong communication and presentation skills; both written and verbal
Experience with Business Controls, Process Design/Improvement, Governance, Reporting, Audit and/or Production Management
BA/BS degree or Masters preferred; Finance, Accounting or Economics majors desired
