Drive the flow of clients and pets through the hospital to maximize productivity of the veterinary medical team
Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route client/pet flow to ensure superior care
Maximize number of pets seen to support wellness plan clients
Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service; welcome clients and pets and ensure comfort
Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs and hospital services
Assist incoming clients: complete required documentation, enter pet information/history in computer, use proper collars/tags for ID
Assist outgoing clients: provide instructions, information and invoices; dispense prescription items per veterinarian instructions; sell retail products; schedule future appointments
Manage finances: maintain accurate balances and follow proper opening and closing procedures
Conduct administrative functions as necessary and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be at least 18 years old to perform duties involving radiography (x-ray) and exposure to radioactive substances
One year of related experience required (customer service preferred)
Medical background (veterinary technician, human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) with medical terminology training preferred
Ability to multi-task; manage multiple tasks accurately under distracting conditions
Reads, writes and speaks fluent English; strong written and verbal communication skills
Organizational ability; systematic approach to assignments
Problem solving skills; translate problems into practical solutions
Client service skills; deliver attentive, courteous and informative service
Intellectual ability to accurately follow oral, written or diagram instructions
Mathematical ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and convert units
Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and specialized software

Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time
Comfortable and confident around pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.)
Willingness to work weekends and evenings; client needs and work volume may require >40 hours/week
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift/move up to 50 pounds
