About the role
- Data collection and preprocessing: extraction, cleaning, and transformation to ensure data quality and consistency
- Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): identification of patterns, trends, and insights
- Model development: design and training of statistical and machine learning models
- Validation and optimization: hyperparameter tuning and performance evaluation
- Model monitoring: tracking models in production, detecting data drift and retraining
- Process automation: building automated pipelines
- Documentation: detailed recording of models, processes, and decisions
- Visualizations and reporting: dashboards and presentations to communicate results
- Collaboration: working closely with data engineering, MLOps, business, and technology teams
- Continuous learning: staying up to date with new techniques, tools, and trends
Requirements
- Strong academic background in quantitative methods (Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Physics)
- Postgraduate degree in these areas is a plus
- Knowledge of statistical modeling and machine learning
- Experience in handling and analyzing large volumes of data
- Experience with cloud tools/platforms
- Programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, Spark
- Ability to communicate complex insights clearly and effectively
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Proactive in testing new quantitative methods (statistical, econometric, etc.)
