About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Act as the leader of the tax function, with a consultative and strategic focus, ensuring the correct interpretation and application of tax legislation applicable to the National Financial System, supporting business areas and senior management in decision-making, with appropriate management of tax risks and opportunities.
Lead the institution's tax legal activities, emphasizing strategic tax advisory, planning and structuring of transactions, and management of tax litigation.
Serve as a technical reference on tax matters related to the National Financial System, ensuring regulatory alignment and risk mitigation.
Support the bank's strategic decisions by issuing legal opinions and recommendations with an integrated business perspective.
Manage, guide and delegate tasks to the team, ensuring operational efficiency, technical quality and professional development. Exercise decision-making authority with autonomy, critical judgment and institutional responsibility.
Monitor and provide guidance on matters and manage the portfolio of tax litigation cases.
Interact with internal areas, internal audit, external advisors and tax authorities when necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong knowledge of taxation, particularly as applied to the National Financial System, with a strong advisory focus.
Solid experience in the tax area, preferably within the financial sector.
Postgraduate degree in Tax Law or a related field.
Fluent in English.
