About the role
- Build and maintain custom WordPress front-ends, focusing on clean, responsive, and high-performing UI.
- Implement designs with pixel-level accuracy using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Translate Figma designs and prototypes into polished, production-ready interfaces.
- Collaborate with designers on responsive layouts, UI refinements, and usability improvements.
- Work with custom WordPress themes and theme builders (e.g. UTheme, WooTheme).
- Optimize front-end performance, load speed, and responsiveness.
- Implement front-end best practices for accessibility, maintainability, and scalability.
- Manage front-end caching considerations and performance-related UI decisions.
- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration.
- Communicate clearly, take ownership of deliverables, and proactively flag issues or improvements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Front-End Web Developer, ideally in WordPress-heavy environments.
- Strong expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Proven experience implementing designs from Figma into responsive, high-quality websites.
- Solid understanding of WordPress front-end architecture, themes, and customization.
- Experience working in agency-style environments handling multiple projects.
- Comfortable using Git for version control and collaboration.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Extremely high attention to detail — you double-check your own work and care deeply about quality.
