Project Manager – Logistics

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leads the intake of projects originating from the Profit Plus ideation program by interviewing ideators, clarifying objectives, and developing a clear project charter with defined goals, assumptions, constraints, and expected business benefits
- Identifies, maps, and engages all relevant internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment across functions such as operations, engineering, logistics, planning, quality, finance, HR, customer teams, and external partners as required
- Conducts initial discovery and analysis to define the project scope, including scope of work and, when applicable, scope of systems
- Owns the preparation, review, and sign-off of the Business Requirement Document (BRD)
- Develops the full project plan, including resource planning, workstream definition, milestone planning, critical path analysis, stage-gate setup, and governance structure to ensure the project is properly controlled from the start
- Prepares AFE's, requisitions, and cost estimates with detailed scopes of work and clear justification
- Establishes the project budget, secures approvals, and manages financial control throughout the lifecycle of the project
- Directs the planning and implementation of assigned projects, ensuring execution against approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements
- Defines KPIs and decision criteria to support stage progression and timely issue resolution
- Establishes and monitors project schedules using critical path methodology, revises plans as needed, and coordinates responsibility plans and start-up production plans to maintain delivery commitments
- Manages project cost to minimize spend while achieving approved objectives, using the company's project accounting and cost control systems
- Maintains accurate forecasts through continuous cost tracking and reforecasting
- Provides regular project status updates to management and stakeholders, covering progress, risks, issues, costs, schedule, and decisions required
- Maintains clear action item tracking and accountability throughout the project
- Builds and leads cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration across multiple disciplines and ensuring roles, responsibilities, and deliverables are clearly understood and executed
- Uses Microsoft Project, cost control systems, action item lists, and other tools in an effective and disciplined way to support planning, scheduling, financial tracking, documentation, and communication
- Completes projects with a structured after-care phase, including validation of results, handover to operations or business owners, and documentation of lessons learned to improve future projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Broad training in a related field, usually acquired through graduate degree-level education or work-related experience
- Minimum of 4 years job-related experience
- Financial acumen and strong project management experience
- Cross-functional project execution in a manufacturing environment
- Project management principles and stage-gate processes
- Business case development and project charter creation
- Requirements gathering and BRD preparation
- Budgeting, AFE/requisition processes, and cost control
- Project scheduling, critical path, and resource planning
- Cross-functional project execution in a manufacturing environment
- Fluent in English language
