About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Fill bags or totes to proper weight according to plant and outside agency specifications
Ensure bags are properly sealed to prevent powder leakage
Stack finished product neatly and orderly on pallets
Label product with product code, lot number, and special markings
Sample products for laboratory and customer testing
Inspect powder samples for specks and foreign matter to ensure product quality and prevent contamination
Maintain documentation for packaged product, rework, scrap, metal detector checks, weight checks, equipment checks, and utensil checks
Inspect equipment and report problems to the maintenance department
Follow GMPs, SOPs, and HACCP Programs
Practice good housekeeping and assist with cleaning or setting up other areas
Stage ingredients
Clean and sanitize packaging equipment and work areas
Conduct CIP and COP processes
Perform general maintenance with basic hand tools as needed
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
Strong motivation, organization, time management, and oral and written communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Effective communication and conflict resolution skills
Ability to distinguish colors
Ability to give and welcome feedback and contribute to positive team spirit
Ability to continually stand, walk, handle or feel objects, talk, and use vision and hearing abilities

Ability to periodically lift up to 50 pounds using safe lifting techniques and equipment
