About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fulfill the daily production demands of a Vancouver manufacturing facility as indicated by either the production schedule and/or leadership
  • Comply to all Vancouver and corporate safety rules, regulations, and policies
  • Prep for packaging activities, operate packaging equipment in compliance with SOPS, GMPs, ISO/FSSC/HACCP and safety guidelines and requirements
  • Clean up and maintenance of plant, plant grounds and equipment
  • Document all required data for process operation, testing, cleaning and sanitation activities, (manually and electronically)
  • Restock supplies, operate forklift and pallet jack, load/unload delivery trucks, recycle product and prepare product
  • Understand and comply with all production quality system SOPs and documents, safety policies and SDS
  • Work with operation team to increase knowledge of process and equipment operation and to assume more Operator II responsibilities and duties as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 1 year in manufacturing environment
  • Must have or be able to obtain forklift operators permit
  • Must have strong work ethic; be detail oriented; be able to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Demonstrable mechanical ability and mathematical skills
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret charts, graphs, documents, manuals, etc.
