About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct EHS support and leadership to the Human Nutrition & Health Operations.
  • Thrive in a changing and dynamic environment and possess the ability to direct, plan, establish, and implement a variety of programs to ensure safety.
  • Ensure safe work conditions and practices that meet all applicable EH&S regulations and company policies.
  • Coach site management and personnel on recognition, elimination and control of occupational hazards.
  • Analyze current EH&S programs and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor metrics to identify trends and improvement action plans.
  • Conduct periodic safety inspections and compliance audits as needed.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend changes to minimize safety risks.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in an EH&S related Science or Engineering field.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with an emphasis in EH&S program management.
  • Experience within a plant that handles Combustible Dust a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within region and periodically provide assistance across regions as directed.
  • Demonstrated people management, change management, and team building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
  • Professional certification as a CSP, CIH or PE is required for this role.
