About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct EHS support and leadership to the Human Nutrition & Health Operations.
- Thrive in a changing and dynamic environment and possess the ability to direct, plan, establish, and implement a variety of programs to ensure safety.
- Ensure safe work conditions and practices that meet all applicable EH&S regulations and company policies.
- Coach site management and personnel on recognition, elimination and control of occupational hazards.
- Analyze current EH&S programs and ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and monitor metrics to identify trends and improvement action plans.
- Conduct periodic safety inspections and compliance audits as needed.
- Investigate accidents and incidents and recommend changes to minimize safety risks.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors or Masters degree in an EH&S related Science or Engineering field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with an emphasis in EH&S program management.
- Experience within a plant that handles Combustible Dust a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within region and periodically provide assistance across regions as directed.
- Demonstrated people management, change management, and team building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
- Professional certification as a CSP, CIH or PE is required for this role.
