About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Pre-weighing, batching, and preparing ingredients to be used for individual batches
  • Material handling of all material used at the facility
  • Weigh, measure, mix, and add material, ingredients and products to ensure conformance to establish standards
  • Operate forklift and/or other power industrial trucks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Reconciliation- weigh ingredients, count, tape boxes, sow bags, identify ingredients with labels and partial labels
  • Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools
  • Adhere and comply with all safety policies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred
  • Basic math, reading and record keeping skills required
  • Ability to maneuver minimum 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums with proper material handling equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Valid drivers license for forklift license
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and bar coding preferred
  • Ability to follow written and flow-charted instructions
