Pre Weigh Operator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Pre-weighing, batching, and preparing ingredients to be used for individual batches
- Material handling of all material used at the facility
- Weigh, measure, mix, and add material, ingredients and products to ensure conformance to establish standards
- Operate forklift and/or other power industrial trucks in a safe and efficient manner
- Reconciliation- weigh ingredients, count, tape boxes, sow bags, identify ingredients with labels and partial labels
- Clean and maintain equipment, using hand tools
- Adhere and comply with all safety policies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED preferred
- Basic math, reading and record keeping skills required
- Ability to maneuver minimum 5-gallon pails and 55-gallon drums with proper material handling equipment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
- Valid drivers license for forklift license
- Familiarity with inventory systems and bar coding preferred
- Ability to follow written and flow-charted instructions
