About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Further develop Balchem's Plant Nutrition business in the Southeast region
- Develop existing customer base in SE and add additional distribution opportunities
- Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
- Actively promote Balchem's TEAM tissue analysis tool
- Prepare technical plant nutrition presentations
- Develop relationships with new and existing customers
- Gather data on agribusiness trends and competitive intelligence
- Make recommendations for opportunities to maximize sales
- Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
- Provide technical support in product sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4-year degree in Agricultural/Plant Science or related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales of plant nutrition and biologicals agricultural products
- Experience with managing a sales organization
- Background in agronomy
- Excellent communication skills required
- Strong personality, self-starter, action/goal oriented
