About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Further develop Balchem's Plant Nutrition business in the Southeast region
  • Develop existing customer base in SE and add additional distribution opportunities
  • Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
  • Actively promote Balchem's TEAM tissue analysis tool
  • Prepare technical plant nutrition presentations
  • Develop relationships with new and existing customers
  • Gather data on agribusiness trends and competitive intelligence
  • Make recommendations for opportunities to maximize sales
  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals
  • Provide technical support in product sales

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4-year degree in Agricultural/Plant Science or related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales of plant nutrition and biologicals agricultural products
  • Experience with managing a sales organization
  • Background in agronomy
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Strong personality, self-starter, action/goal oriented
