About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide daily operational HR support to employees and managers across onboarding, offboarding, offers, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, performance management, and retirement programs
- Serve as a front-line employee and manager resource, escalating concerns to the HR Director as appropriate
- Administer benefit programs, including new-hire enrollments, qualifying life events, annual open enrollment, leave administration, workers’ compensation, and 401(k) participation
- Coordinate with external vendors and carriers
- Administer the performance review process and employee and candidate change letters, including offer letters, promotions, salary increases, and employment verifications
- Conduct assigned employee-relations investigations and partner with the HR Director to address workplace concerns and resolve conflicts
- Maintain the HR SharePoint site, policies, forms, and employee resources
- Maintain employee data in the HRIS and generate recurring and ad hoc reports
- Monitor HR compliance requirements and assist with audits, reporting, and recordkeeping
- Assist with HR department projects, employee engagement surveys, ERGs, and strategic HR initiatives
- Provide backup support to Talent Acquisition for interview scheduling, candidate communications, and onboarding logistics
- Maintain accurate and timely work product with confidentiality and ethics
- Travel to other regional offices when needed; overnight travel is rare
Requirements
What you’ll need- Willingness and ability to work at least 4 days per week in-office in Wayne, PA
- 4–6 years of experience providing broad HR support required
- Demonstrable experience with benefits administration and/or leave of absence
- Experience with HR compliance reporting
- Experience with employee relations
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field
- Relevant experience plus an HR certification can be considered in place of a completed degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements
- Experience using HRIS platforms for reporting, data management, and employee lifecycle administration
- Willingness and ability to travel to other regional offices when needed; overnight travel is rare
- High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to exercise sound judgment and reasoning
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience supporting a multi-state workforce preferred
- Architecture/Engineering/Construction or other professional services industry experience preferred
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or CEBS certification preferred
- Experience maintaining content and resources within SharePoint preferred
- Relocation assistance, fully remote work, and employment sponsorship are not available
