About the role
- Serve as a subject matter expert on federal partnership taxation
- Research technical issues for and provide transaction advice to engagement teams
- Draft and review technical memoranda, opinions, private letter rulings, comment letters, and white papers.
- Analyze IRS regulations and related guidance and distill them into internal and external thought leadership communications
- Develop and present content for internal and external webinars, tax conferences, and industry meetings
- Monitor federal legislation and litigation with tax implications/changes in order to provide internal and external insights
- Collaborate with other WNT specialists and other subject matter experts throughout the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or Law (J.D.)
- CPA or JD required
- LL.M. in Taxation or Masters in Tax, or equivalent, strongly preferred.
- Five (5)+ years of progressive experience in U.S. federal tax experience with significant emphasis on partnership taxation.
- Prior experience in public accounting, legal practice, or government.
- Prior national tax experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated and strong technical knowledge of Subchapter K.
