About the role
- SOC Compliance Interns participate in SOC 1, SOC 2 and SOC 3 examinations, as well as consulting services for SOC examinations.
- You may also gain knowledge of the firm's assurance and consulting services, in addition to assisting project managers, clients and peers on various consulting and auditing engagements.
- In addition to the CPA, these team members may be asked to work toward the CIA, CMA or CISA.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire.
- Must have completed or be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, with a preference for accounting majors
- Must reside within a commutable distance to a Baker Tilly office and be willing to work on-site
- Eligible candidates must have academic courses remaining at the end of the internship; ideally, in the third year of a 4-year program, or fourth year of a 5-year program
- Major in Accounting or coursework in technology-related fields highly desirable
- If an accounting major, meeting educational requirements to obtain CPA license upon full-time Staff hire, preferred
- Willingness to travel to client locations, including overnight stays, with travel expectations varying by department and office location
- Flexibility to work overtime or additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Ability to understand own and others' emotions in order to achieve desired goals
- Creative problem solving, critical thinking and research skills;
- Organize information and exercise well-reasoned judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrate confidence in decision making and poise in professional setting

- Outstanding organization and project management skills;
- Take responsibility for quality and timeliness of projects
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must have a current, accepted offer with Baker Tilly (formerly Moss Adams).
